4th Annual Charity Ride
Hey just getting an early word out right now that our Charity Ride & Rally is tentively set for August 8 this year. If any one has an ideas for this year I'd more than happy to hear your imput. This year will be set a little more like a free ride ie similar to the Crud Run. Just so riders like Will don't have to wait for everyone----ha ha. Also there is a small website you can check out with past ride photos if anyone wants to check it out : Home Page. Already have a response from alot of sponsors for rider prize donation so hopefully we'll have alot of things to give away again and be able to raise money for a great cause. If anyone has a contribution for a ligit charity and cause also you can go to the website and send it from the contact info. Sorry for being away for a while, kind of miss talking to alot of you guys but had alot going on over the winter months.

Alright here is the tentitive ride schedule for the Charity Ride August 8th. The Rally site will be held at the park as in the first 2 rides "riverside." Sign up should be between 9 or so and nooner. The park also host camping and a restroom facility with showers and such. Not to mention the site rental is really cheap and runs about $10 or $15 with I believe up to 4 people per site for that cost.
Sign-up will be $20 per person and will include your rider prize ticket and free cookout to follow your return from the ride (WildCat Mountain Park). You won't be eligible for rider prizes unless you take the ride to WildCat and get your ticket punched at the gas station in the small town of Ontario by WildCat. And why wouldn't you want to go and cash-in on their great icecream! When you get back, show your ticket and go get your rider prize which will be draw while your gone and not to mention all the food as usual will be ready and waiting.
The Dance Doctors Mobil DJ Service as always will be there with music throughout and bean-bags and plenty of shade this year.
The ride will also be more of a free ride this year kind of like the Crud Run in the fact that we will have a printed route for you, if you and or your group is new to the area, but you will be allowed to come and go, leave and make the trip at your own pace. To ride with and when whomever you chose and feel comfortable with.
Rally Flyer will be up within a month or so for more info and if anyone has anyideas that they might like to see or add, we have plenty of time til August and more than willing to concider it.

I'd say about an hour and a half. The Rockford Riders come every year so it's not that bad. Besides the roads around here are great just for free riding even. Along rivers, hills etc. Tons of twist and turns. Great weekend to round up some buddies and camp at the park which is right on the river from an elevated site of course. I'll post up picks of various roads and the site for you guys, but it is a great time. Like I said, I make the trip to South Beloit quite a bit for trackdays at Blackhawk Farms Raceway too.

Alright people, our Charity Ride & Rally Flyer is very soon to come and we have selected our charity donor for this years ride. Back on April 12th of this year, during easter weekend, a large group was taking a horse drawn wagon ride in the country around Woodman, Wisconsin. Not exactly sure how, but for some reason one of the two horses in the team became spooked and the wagon was pulled over a 20 - 30 ft. embankment with rocks below. There were men, women and children on this wagon and many were hurt and released that day with the exception of Fonetta Wayne, Sheri Wayne and the more serious of the three Larry (Butch) Wayne who sustained a very severe head injury. Butch was MedFlighted to UW Hospital in Madison where he remained in the intensive care unit for several weeks. These people will be unable to work for an extented period of time due to recovery and rehabilitation and have incurred many medical and everday expenses as a result of the accident. The River Rocket Community would like to help these people by helping raise money through our Charity Sportbike Ride & Rally registration and silent auction items. Hopefully everyone will come, have a great day, take a beautiful ride to WildCat Mnt. State Park and enjoy an awsome cookout with rider prizes.
Hope to have a great turn out, and see alot of you there!

Alright, we have Ryan S from Vertical Mischief on the docket for the ride. Tentively at the moment and most likely, he will preform between 9am and 12 pm before we leave for WildCat. This is starting to shape up nicely. So my plans are for everyone to sign up and in as soon as possible especially all of you rolling out of your tents at the park and heading down the block to the street where he will strut his stuff. Those of you that have never seen Ryan, amazing especially after everything he's gone thru. Still working on alot of things for you guys so, hope you can make it and have a great time. All I have to do is get the ok from the Village of Muscoda and Ryan is set!
