Damn!!
I guess I had it good In Quebec....Like I said Had!?!?!
2007 Plates 320$ Insurance 2 way 238$
All of that has changed Since I live in a Socialist Distinc Societey.
that really can't manage the peoples money
The plates part of my budget has doubled for this year alone
2008 Plates 667$
once all increases have been done
2010 plates alone will be 1410$
I have to pay because when the goverment collective insurance system was in the green, in the 80's, by 2 billion dollars, the party or partys that were in power decided to pick the coffers to stick the money somewhere else.

Canada Broker Link is also pretty reasonable, for me anyways. I think they use Nordic Insurance. For me, liability plus vandalism, theft and fire on my TLR is around $500. It would be around a $1000 if I went with full coverage. I ride like a big pansy on the street though.....no tickets or collisions to report

stay away from statefarm, altho they will give you the best rate, god help you if you need to make a claim.
I had to make one, and im still fighting them, from aug 2007, they dont want to pay out, they make up 10000 of excuses, then they make you get a lawyer to fight them.
its total bull!!

I was just quoted $900 on the TL i just bought. This is with State Farm. I had coverage with Primmum (and it's previous names) for over 15 years and changed to stae farm when they quoted me for 2 different bikes over a 2 month period...first, a 2003 GSXR 1000..full coverage $1100/year, 2 months later a quote on a 1999 R1 $3200/year....full coverage....told them to give there head a shake and changed companies..this is also no tickets or accidents. I've worked in the automotive collision industry for 22 years and i've seen it all with insurance companies. I swaer when the phone rings, they toss a quarter in the air...heads you get raped, tales they treat you like a human being.

Insurance
I have a 2003 SV 1000 with Direct Protect (broker) with Coseco Insurance and am paying $328/yr for basic coverage. I recommended my friends go there but mostly they didn't believe the rate.
BUT... This week a friend called for a quote and they quoted $1200 for his R1. Seems they've dropped Coseco and are now using Primum. Coseco supposedly is no longer doing bikes.
I guess I have 'til March when I have to renew. And then it will be time to get boned by The Man.

ya headquaters in aurora is where the problem is coming from, and the agents name is Dean York, he is a snake, he tries to back out of the situation, the main problem is here cause Dean is saying well he didnt know the situation of the policy, altho he set it up, he has taken my money, hell my car which is under them is still being billed a year + after this, and yet they still say its not done right......
in the end they take your money, but never want to give it back!!!
Dean York is a snake, stay away from him specifically, and again its the main headquaters which is causing me the headache's,
so i have to believe its all of statefarm
