Good to see some more TL riders in these parts
I hope to see you guys around this summer.
Thorsten, did you ever get around to remapping your TL with the Yosh Box?

Let me know when, sounds good to me. Are there any other Tillers in Edmonton?
THorsten, got those Yosh bolts on on?
Shvl, I follow that ESR board as well, there seems to be lots of vocal RC-51 lovers, but no one remembers the TL's before. GUess we need to step it up!

Hi Brad, long time no see! Oh yes, that Yosh box has come in handy several times: first to adjust for the K&N the bike came with, then for the stainless headers I got from Germany, and then for the air box mod. The thing runs really well, but I'd still like to put it on a dyno to see if more's to be had. The box is in good hands, but let me know if/when you need it back...
Not sure I ever told you, but I also found a set of Busa 6 piston calipers on the Net, what a difference they make!
Fester, yes, the Yoshes did full duty last season. After I spent a few hours polishing them up I attached them to a set of stainless headers a guy in Germany made for about 50 TL riders there. They are Yosh knock-offs with increasing diameter pipes and raise the muffler like the full Yosh system. Sound great and made it through the Stratotech noise limits!!
Hope to see y'all at the track!
Cheers,
Thorsten

Hey boys....just noticed this thread. I should check out the Canadian Region a little more often I think. I am in Edmonton. Remember me FESTER....I was the one talking to you about your TLR last December...hope you are doing well and getting geared up for the summer. Keep me in mind if you are ever unloading some of your TLR parts!

Hey all you Alberta riders. Just got some good news and I am posted to Edmonton this summer and will need to get my feet back in the Alberta biker pool. For those of you in Edmonton, I'm looking at Stratotech for some fun any experiences Good, bad?
Thanks guys, Tim

I have just walked Stratotech.......before it was paved. So no info to add other than the TL may be a handful on that tight track. Are you thinking about racing there or just wondering about track days?
I did all my racing on a Gixxer 6 in Calgary at Race City just before Stratotech was built. Some of the other Zone members above have raced there so hopefully they will let you know.
The Canadian Region Forum has some serious cob webs in it....no action Only 633 posts
Hopefully you get some feedback

Hi Puppet, love the RZ in your avatar. Is that yours? I want to see more pictures. Anyway, in 2005 I did a four hour endurance with my TL1000S at Stratotech, and I've done countless laps at race and track days. It's hard work, but lots of fun. The track is too slow for a TL, you barely wind out third gear on the back straight, the rest is all in second. But the upside is that you can really focus on your lines, and the torque of the TL comes in quite handy, and it is quite a technical track.
If you want to go for speed, you need to go to Calgary, where they have a half-mile straight. But that track is so bumpy by now, I won't even go there anymore, it's outright dangerous.
Anyway, hope to see you out there this year!
Cheers,
Thorsten

Thanks for the feedback guys, I might look to get into racing or just trackdays. Kinda depends on how much I have to pay for a house!!!! That RZ is what I might actually use for trackdays, must look at the Stratotech website.
