One small Q, whats the reason for the axle switch mod?
Great looking bike!

Keeps your chain from losing tension... even with the tensioners (sp?) it seems to get loose more often with the nut on the other side. Simple mod, do it the next time you have your rear wheel off.

Actually it's for the exact opposite reason
While trying to adjust your chain and you think that it's spot on, you have to thighten that axle nut on the left. Just after torquing it, you recheck the chain and you find it to be really tight, something that is bad for the output bearing of the motor, jsut behind the front sprocket.
By switching the axle nut to the right, this problem dissapears and the adjustment of the chain is much easier.
BTW, I am not really fond of the green colour and the full fairing on the S but I have to admit there's tons of work on your bike.
That front light cover looks interesting. Can you post some details of what it is made of?

What he said... and why didn't I remember it that way around. All my days adjusting my bicycle chain I guess!
The head light covering is perforated vinyl, the kind they use at sign shops to wrap entire vehicles (buses us this alot) in a graphics, etc... and still be able to see out the windows.
It's rated at 50% transferrance for visibility, but with the white color and my hyper white bulbs, you can still see fine at night, even with the low beams on. I use a tinted visor at night, and usually ride with brights when there is no traffic. (I hate switching the visor... I know, I know) and it's fine even at night with my tinted visor. I would assume dark colors would reduce the light that would project out, but with the size of the holes, I'd bet high beams would work in place of low beams, even with black.
I just bought some white (I think they make other colors, but they can PRINT any color, or pattern on it you need) and traced the pattern for the way I wanted it. Initially I was going to wrap the whole headlight, but the S headlight curves a lot and it was difficult to wrap without wrinkling. I then decided to do just the pattern around each headlight that's naturally on the lens, and it looked even better. You still have some wrinkles to deal with and some working it, or cutting them out work out just fine.
I appreciate the compliment, especially from someone who gets a lot of nominations for TLOTM. I'm hoping to at least get a nomination some day... I still have some other projects planned, but the overall look is close enough I figure I'd toss some pics out there and see if anyone though it was worthy yet.

Coming not only from a TLOTM winner, but TLOTY winner this time! Awesome
Thanks everyone... all the comments are making the MANY late nights worth it!
I usually here TONS of bad comments on lowers for the S, but most of the comments have been good on mine. Not sure why that is, but I really appreciate it.
When I initially posted pics of the color a couple months ago, I figured I'd get flamed for the Kawasaki color, but everyone was super cool about it, and it was all good comments.
I still have some things to do, and my next "big" item (in terms of cost) will probably be a clutch cover, etc... from Vandriver. (if/when they are available after I've secured the cash)
