    service on my tlr

hi guys.just wondering.i went to my local bike dealer the other day to get a rough price on a service.this involving shim adjustment/replacement.i asked them to do the tps and throtle body adjustment.they told me that it would cost between $300 and $600.thats with me taking half the bike apart for them.it also depends on if the shims all had to be replaced or not.i told them that i had heard that these biks had a bit of a rep for cracking their shims and it might be better to replace them anyway.the guy said he had never heard of this happening.and as for the tb.he said he couldn't do this.am i missing something

No,but he is.Best to find a place to actually service your bike.
They don't so much crack the shims as some have broken the shim buckets.
I don't know if it's relevant ,but have never heard of it on an Aus bike?

Suzuki Springwood up here in Brissy quoted me $580 for full service, which included shim check, all fluids changed, oil filter, chain clean, and chassis lube? Nothing was mentioned about tps or tb adjustment in the service though.
Regrettably I took it else where, paid more and have no flucking clue if they did what they say they were going to do Kicking myself!!
