From a local (Port Macquarie) rider on NSW Rats forum:

"If anyone is wandering on the condition of the road and is it worth coming up and running a muck with a bunch of mate , well 3/4 of the mountain got resurfaced over chrisy and is good .A few corners on the very bottom , say mount seaview down have a few patches to take it easy on ,but once you've done a run you know. Went up on me own 2 weeks back and rode back down with a couple of local blokes I know . I usually dont ride up there that quick these days(safety) but the carrot was dangled, we had a ball. A bit of knee scraping action you could say, anyway yes it's worth it, you will have fun. Most locals ride on sunday so saturday will be ours believe me and fuck all cars."
