Thanks for the replies.
I emailed Brisbane back and will see what reply i get Monday, until all the completed forms are returned to them there will be no release. I am not to concerned about the duty as i expected it (GST anyway). The invoice with the package is just that,an invoice for the contents and have never been bothered with fake ones due to... Low invoice but wanting true value insurance looks odd..Item lost or damaged and you are up S!@# creek...etc etc http://www.customs.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=4288 I will try faxing the forms (still need one sent to me via fax) when completed, the B319 needs info from the exporter in NZ so hopefully that will turn up this weekend . 2 x B319 - 1 x B374 and a q202700 when they send it. It might be easier to see Customs here in Darwin and see if they have the forms first hand then maybe go through a broker from this end if allowed. I will follow the procedure and see what happens. Third service coming up and looking forward to good suspension that doesn't fade. ![]()

Its just a matter of going though the system but thanks for the offer. Here is a typical after work phone call. Get a message to phone Customs in Brisbane. Phone after work to get some pass number ? Get some troll who is bitchy from the word go. She asks questions and when you answer them she says let me finish, but i was answering the question ![]() ![]() Finally get given some number, what do i i with it A long time later it is revealed it is a phone number... Why didn't you say that 5 minutes ago Ask where it is location wise being i am 2500 kms away.. Her > Brisbane 07... Thanks for telling me and so it goes on ... I then have to use that number to phone Brisbane again, this time to get two other numbers relating to duty and GST,once i get those numbers off that new person i then have to go into town to wait for it.... Email those latest numbers to someone else in Brisbane. ![]() That was yesterday,of course i get another message today so phone, this time it is the total to pay but they are no help in how to pay (like i am going to fax my Visa details, not to mention the first person i was dealing with via Email never replied to the email he sent but a reply did come from someone else who you got it does not reply to the reply i sent him so i couldn't fax anything anyway. I will knock off work early tomorrow and try and track down Darwin Customs and try and pay them who then will have to contact Brisbane customs to say i payed then the package should be released but still has to get here even though i would have payed the duty with no responsibility accepted. Patience is a virtue. so with some luck it might turn up next week,6 weeks after it was posted (but i was not told !!) pity the wet season is now so close it is somewhat a waste of time and you will not get onto a lot of the dirt roads.

Darwin Customs are taking care of it.
![]() I emailed Brisbane asking for a copy of the paperwork to be sent here so the payment can be referenced to the item. I shouldn't jump to conclusions but here is what i think will be the problem. I made it clear to to the seller that i live at a non delivery address, all mail/parcels go to a PO Box i share, they then leave a card in the box you then go into the post office (it is a corner store ? dairy ? superette ? with a small PO section) I am willing to bet the PO Box number was not put on the package so customs might have sent the paper work to my street address (but there is no delivery as above so is lost). If the PO box was on the package it probably would have been this easy. Package arrives in Brisbane on the 24th August (port of entry) They then sent the paperwork to my PO Box ( 3 or 4 days perhaps) I fill out the paperwork and file it here in Darwin and probably would have been able to pay on the spot. They inform Brisbane and the package is sent on via courier who deliver it to the door (as my tool box did, here in two weeks from the time it was sent) ![]() ![]()
