replacement clutch springs

I have had a slipping clutch problem rolling on above 5,000 -6,000 rpm. Replacing standard springs with Goodridge springs has been suggested. Anyone had any experience with Goodridge springs? The clutch is otherwise in excellent condition.

Barnett's are proven.

I can't name anyone running Gooridge ones.

Thanks, I couldn't find any references to Goodridge springs and suggested Barnetts but mechanic suggested Barnett springs might be a bit heavy for road use .... didn't think I looked that weak pretty good shop and generally know what they are doing, so unless someone else has had a bad experience with Goodridge springs, I'll see how they are. They should be installed ealy next week.

I hope you have better luck than me trying something unproven I initially tried something other than Barnett's and the new springs free length was less than the OEM ones after 6000km

!0% Stronger? More like 10% weaker and undersize

Measure and take a pic of the Godridge ones when you get them.

Barnett's

I had the same exact problem of clutch slip at higher RPM, and also a reduced amount at initial acceleration.

Put in the Barnett's, and 15mins later...no more slip. Done 3000k's so far with no hassle so gotta give em a try.

Good luck

Glad to report that in the end Barnett replacement springs used. So far so good, and feels like full power now getting to rear wheel again, but a litltle wet on trip home yesterday so still waiting for full assessment.

Hey Guy's been a long time since I have posted but I'm glad you didn't go with the Goodridge springs. I went with them and the clutch is unbearably heavy. So much so that in heavy traffic I frequently lane split to avoid using it so often

How do the Barnett springs compare to stock?
