The Barnetts seem only very slightly heavier to use than the standard ones which came out, and so far no sign of any more slipping. They're not a lot of money so if the Goodridges are a pain, it would be worth changing. The shop charged me $35 for the springs and $40 to put them in.

ouch

Yikes! price was a bit steep.

I paid $24 from Sunstate Motorcycles for the springs (6 bolt), and fitted myself in well under 10 mins.

Gotta say thanks to Steve's tl1ooos site, made the job a breeze.

Not too bothered about 11 bucks ... and while the shop was putting them in I was at work earning more than $40. But I agree its probably a job I could / should have done myself ... important thing is its done and has made a big difference.

Very true, Thought I sounded a bit pompus as I was typing it, but was trying not to sound like a smartass.

Hope anyone else having clutch dramas tries new springs first, as I was informed that all TL's have a bad clutch and the only way to fix it is to do a full replacement. (thankgod for the net)
