thats right , i have a set of 04/05 600/750 calipers but they need 5mm spacers with 310 sv rotors. or just go to 300mm without spacers so stil have to swap rotors there!
is there any difference in brake pad size between early model and late model gsxr radial brake pads
I would be guessing the pads all have the same contact area ?

i guess thats possible if you had access to such machinery , should be enough thread left for shorter mounting bolts
